The industrial town of Pithampur, near Indore (Madhya Pradesh), is the manufacturing facility of EICHER TRUCKS AND BUSES. In 1986, it was the first commercial vehicle manufacturing plant to be set up in Central India. Spread over just 83 acres (340,000 sq. m.) of land, this compact plant has an integrated facility for the assembly of trucks and bus chassis. It houses all that is required to design, test, produce and service a commercial vehicle.

The facility has been well equipped with Product Development and Designing, and Research & Development centres. For quality assurance each vehicle goes through - Castor & Camber setting, turning radius setting, Final Vehicle Inspection and End of Line Dynamometer Testing (EOLT). Pre delivery audits are conducted at the ETB plant through the Customer Satisfaction Vehicle Evaluation System (CSVES). A state-of-the-art Training School for dealer mechanics has also been stationed at the Pithampur plant.
