SIDDHARTHA LAL
Executive Chairman, EML

Siddhartha Lal is the Executive Chairman of Eicher Motors Ltd. (EML), the parent company of leading motorcycle maker Royal Enfield. Eicher Motors also operates VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), an equal joint venture with Sweden’s AB Volvo.

Siddhartha joined Eicher Group in 1999 and has since played an instrumental in reviving the Royal Enfield brand, steering it to become a global leader in the middleweight motorcycle segment (250 cc - 750 cc). He has been deeply involved in the strategic realignment of Royal Enfield’s product portfolio as well as shaping the brand and the business over the last 25 years, which led to its phenomenal global success. The resurgence of Royal Enfield in the early 2000s, and the position it holds today in the global middleweight motorcycle segment, is an outcome of the razor-sharp focus and patient nurturing of the business for more than two decades.

He is also a member of the Board of Directors of VE Commercial Vehicles and had a significant part in setting up VECV. The joint venture company manufactures and distributes Eicher trucks globally, and assembles and distributes Volvo trucks and buses in India. His close engagement with the commercial vehicle business over the past two decades has resulted in VECV emerging as a leading, and fastest growing commercial vehicle player in the industry.

For the past 25 years, Siddhartha has been at the helm of EML in various capacities, shaping strategy and defining the long-term growth charter for both Royal Enfield and VE Commercial Vehicles. Siddhartha’s strategic and astute long term approach to business has greatly strengthened stakeholders' trust and involvement in EML. This has resulted in the emergence of a robust and formidable organization that is strongly rooted in its foundations, and at the same time intelligently diversifying to cater to the aspirations of a global consumer.

An alumnus of The Doon School and St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, Siddhartha holds a Master’s Degree in Automotive Engineering from University of Leeds and completed his Mechanical Engineering from Cranfield University. He is an avid motorcyclist, and loves riding out to new destinations and personally rides and tests every new Royal Enfield motorcycle.

Ira Gupta
INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

Ira Gupta leads an HR advisory practice specializing in leadership coaching, succession and culture. With 27 years of experience as an HR leader and coach, she has held prominent roles including CHRO at Microsoft India and South Asia, and HR leadership positions at GlaxoSmithKline. Her expertise spans talent management, leadership coaching and development, organizational transformation and culture building across tech, pharma and FMCG sectors. She has also served as Director for the governing bodies of NGOs, advisory boards of educational institutions such as XLRI, and committees at CII and FICCI. Ms. Gupta holds an MBA in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from XLRI Jamshedpur and a BA Honours degree from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi.

B GOVINDARAJAN
Managing Director, EML and CEO, Royal Enfield

B. Govindarajan has spent more than two decades at Eicher Motors Ltd and at Royal Enfield, and is currently the Managing Director, EML and CEO of Royal Enfield. In addition to this he also serves as EML’s Director on the Board of Stark Future, where EML has acquired an equity stake.

Previously, Govindarajan had been serving as the Executive Director of Royal Enfield since August 2021, and prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the company since 2013.

In his role as CEO, Royal Enfield, Govindarajan leads the entire Royal Enfield business and is also responsible for spearheading the electric mobility plans for Royal Enfield.

A veteran in the automotive industry, Govindarajan has more than 34 years of experience, 24 of these years, he has spent with Royal Enfield leading the organization at various stages through several critical projects.

Govindarajan’s association with Eicher Motors Ltd. dates back to 1995 and has been in two stints. He has been responsible for several roles and has worked across verticals. At Royal Enfield he was responsible for the entire manufacturing activity and the implementation of the Lean and Quality Management Systems. He has been instrumental in implementing extensive cost management in sourcing and operations.

In his present stint, he joined Royal Enfield in June 2011 as the Senior Vice President - Industry and was the Chief Operating Officer heading the entire technical organization at Royal Enfield from 2013 to 2022. During this time he has led several turnkey projects for Royal Enfield and has been instrumental in growing and expanding the company’s manufacturing facilities, and in bringing a paradigm shift in product quality, delivery and development processes and also played a significant role in elevating the company’s business performance. Under his leadership Royal Enfield has established Technology centres in the UK and in India. He has also been the driving force behind expanding Royal Enfield’s global footprint and led the setting up of 4 subsidiaries and 5 CKD plants for the brand. Royal Enfield business and brand have surged ahead (or grown extremely well) in the recent years post Covid.

At Royal Enfield he has led the development of several key motorcycles including the likes of the Himalayan, the Interceptor and Continental GT - 650 Twins, the Super Meteor 650 as well as the more recent J-platform based Hunter, Meteor, Classic and the Bullet.

He received his Mechanical Engineering degree from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu and also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management.

Arun Vasu
INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

Arun Vasu is the third-generation torchbearer of the esteemed TTK family legacy, whose career has been marked by strategic vision and entrepreneurial acumen. A commerce graduate of Loyola College, Chennai (1989), Arun's entrepreneurial journey commenced in the early 1990s. He capitalized on the Reserve Bank of India's relaxed norms in 1992 to launch India's first foreign exchange business. This pioneering spirit continued with the founding of TT Services in 2000, the world's inaugural visa outsourcing service. Today, as Chairman and Managing Director of the TT Group of Companies, Arun oversees a diversified portfolio encompassing air cargo, logistics, supply chain solutions, trucking, insurance brokering, hospitality, and water sports training and development. His passion for water sports also led him to introduce wind surfing, surfing, and stand-up paddle boarding to the coastal fishing village of Kovalam near Chennai, empowering the local community through a socio-economic initiative. Arun is an avid motorcyclist and has toured extensively in India and around the world.

Inder Mohan Singh
Independent Director, Eicher Motors Limited.

Mr. Inder Mohan Singh is a fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, a law graduate from Delhi University and a postgraduate in Finance. Mr. Singh is a Partner with ShardulAmarchandMangaldas& Co., a leading law firm and specialises in various practice areas including General Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, Corporate Governance and Education. Mr. Singh has vast experience in the automobile industry especially in matters related to joint ventures, distribution networks, business transfers and technology licensing issues. He has worked across industries including cement, media and entertainment, telecom, real estate and the education sector.

Tejpreet S. Chopra

Tejpreet S. Chopra holds an MBA degree from Cornell University, a B.A. Honors degree in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University and has also attended an executive program at the Harvard Kennedy School. He is the Founder and CEO of the Bharat Light & Power Group (BLP), one of the leading renewable energy generation and technology companies in India. Starting his career in 1996, Tejpreet has worked extensively with General Electric. He has over 25 years of global management and finance experience gained in various business roles held in France, England, Hong Kong, India and USA, of which over 14 years were at General Electric. Until 2010, Tejpreet was the President & CEO of General Electric in India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh, and was responsible for directing GE’s strategies for growth in these countries. He was earlier at GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) and arranged over US$1 billion in financing for India’s growing airline industry. S. Madhavan

S.Madhavan is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, and has around 38 years of experience in Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Law, InformationTechnology, human resources, management, Business Management, and Banking. He has served as a Senior Partner and Executive Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers for several years and has held several senior positions there. He started his career with Hindustan Unilever Limited where he spent several years in the 1980s. In addition to this, he has also been the President, the Northern Region, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, and the Co-Chairman of the Taxation Committee, ASSOCHAM. He is on the board of several listed companies, such as HCL Technologies, ICICI Bank, Sterlite Technologies, Procter & Gamble Health and Transport Corporation of India and is a Chairman/member of various board committees.

Vinod Aggarwal
Vice Chairman (Non Executive), EML and MD & CEO of VE Commercial Vehicles

Vinod Aggarwal is the Vice Chairman (Non Executive) EML and Managing Director & CEO of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV), Eicher Motors’ joint venture with Sweden’s AB Volvo. An industry veteran with over 40 years of rich experience in general management, finance and operations, Vinod has been leading the joint venture since 2010, two years after it was formed.

In his long and successful career with Eicher, spanning over 4 decades, Vinod has held several management positions including being the Chief Financial Officer of the Eicher Group from 2005-2009.

Vinod has won several awards for his contributions to the commercial vehicle industry including the “CV Man of the Year” twice in 2019 and 2014. He was also recognized as the “Best CEO- Medium and Heavy Duty truck makers” in 2016 by World Auto Forum and the “Hall of Fame 2015” by Manufacturing Today.

He is Immediate Past President of both the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC).

Vinod is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost and Management Accountant.
